Controls and starting a run
Tap a tile and then a neighbouring tile to swap them, or swipe one tile toward its neighbour. Mouse and pointer input work the same way.
Scoring and strategy
Look for moves that create more than one line at once. Combos and streaks raise the score much faster than isolated three-tile matches, which is important on later levels.
Your first three practice goals
These are optional practice exercises, not extra in-game missions or rewards. Try one at a time so you can tell what improved.
- Before your first swap, find the two neighbouring tiles and picture the completed line. Check that the move forms a match rather than simply putting two colours together.
- After a match settles, rescan the board. Falling tiles change available moves, so do not repeat a planned swap without looking again.
- When you see two possible matches, favour the one that can create another line after tiles fall. Practise seeing these follow-up opportunities before the timer becomes urgent.
A common mistake to avoid
Repeated speculative swaps use up attention while the timer keeps running. Look for a definite matching line first, then consider a more ambitious combination.
Play comfortably on your screen
Open the game with the Play link, then use Fullscreen in the toolbar for more space. On phones, pause before changing orientation. On computers, click inside the game before using keyboard controls. Touch and keyboard availability differs by game; use the controls described above.
For a blank game, missing progress or trouble leaving fullscreen, visit player help. A TV browser may need a connected keyboard or pointer; a remote alone is not a substitute for the game’s controls.
